Purpose of job

The main role of the Systems Analyst is to oversee the configuration, development, improvement and support of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations system used by the Firm’s People and Culture (P&C) team. The role will work closely with the business stakeholders, IT team and external vendors to ensure the system meets the business needs and delivers value. They will also be responsible for supporting the wider People and Culture Team as and when required.

Responsibilities

Systems Analyst

  • Acting as the key point of contact for Dynamics 365, having detailed knowledge of the system to ensure you can deal with queries or issues
  • Leading on the delivery of the system roadmap, regularly reviewing and updating where required
  • Configuration and development of Dynamics 365 including improvement of core operational processes, automation, and reporting
  • Engaging with the P&C team to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications for Dynamics 365
  • Running regular data cleanses and reconciliations. Demonstrating an ongoing endeavour to ensure data integrity and transparency is achieved
  • Working with the P&C team to facilitate application configuration changes, workflows and enhancements in line with business needs to drive efficiencies
  • Being responsible for building, preparing and delivering a variety of management and people reports, analytics and dashboards utilising Power BI software
  • Defining and managing best practice methodologies for system developments and solution management in conjunction with the Firm’s IT team and third-party support company
  • Reviewing and challenging current operational processes and information requirements to ensure optimum use is being made of the Firm’s existing system capabilities
  • Facilitating knowledge transfer amongst peers through proactive cross-functional communications and documentation

Generalist

  • Applying system knowledge to support the processing of the Firm’s benefit and payroll processes in conjunction with the People Advisors
  • Assisting with the Firm’s annual salary and bonus review including collation of market data and benchmarking analysis
  • Provide guidance, support and advice to Firm members on matters of employment legislation, employee relations and other Firm policies
  • Support the People Business Partners on various ER matters including; attendance, absence, flexible working, parental and other types of leave and escalating where appropriate
  • Support on employee relations issues by; assisting in investigations, drafting correspondence, dealing with queries and attending meetings where required
  • To support the P&C team with the running of projects in line with the team’s business objectives as and when required
  • Ensure on-going compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
