Disputes are a fact of modern life. Understanding and dealing with a dispute in a professional and commercial way has never been more important. Our Dispute Resolution lawyers act for a broad spectrum of individual and commercial clients in a wide range of complex disputes.

Purpose of job

You will work closely with the fee-earners and partners of this busy team, as part of the dispute resolution department.  You will provide legal services to the firm’s clients and help promote and develop the dispute resolution department. 

Responsibilities

To work, as part of a team, advising the firm’s clients on a wide range of disputes arising in the context of trusts, inheritance and estate matters, including:

  • Acting on behalf of both trustees and beneficiaries in respect of often complex and multi-jurisdiction trust issues
  • Providing advice and assistance dealing with disputes relating to the validity of wills
  • Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975 claims
  • Contentious Court of Protection proceedings
  • Professional negligence claims relating to trust and probate issues
  • Fraud disputes relating to breaches of fiduciary duty, and trust litigation where fraud is involved or suspected
  • Provide advice and assistance dealing with civil injunctions in the context of trust and probate claims
