Purpose of job

As Recruitment Advisor you will work closely with the Senior Recruitment Manager and Recruitment Assistant to provide full support to the Recruitment function for the firm. The successful individual will provide effective and efficient recruitment; sourcing talented individuals, building relationships internally and externally and being seen as a strong ambassador for Kingsley Napley. 

Responsibilities

Specific duties will include:

  • Working closely with the Senior Recruitment Manager for live roles across the firm and overseeing the full recruitment cycle for business support and fee-earning recruitment
  • Working closely with hiring managers, internal stakeholders and the HR team to understand the firm’s resourcing needs and advising on the best methods to find suitable candidates
  • Preparing job descriptions and undertaking candidate sourcing using a mixture of direct and indirect sourcing methods
  • Drafting appropriate interview questions and case studies, creating shortlists of candidates, conducting interviews, taking feedback and managing the candidate cycle from start to finish
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with external agencies and drafting fortnightly recruitment updates
  • Proactively using LinkedIn Recruiter to support direct resourcing initiatives, posting vacancies on the LinkedIn platform and head hunting candidates directly. Ensuring all communication is professional, clear and engaging
  • Working with the Recruitment Assistant to schedule interviews/ meetings and the coordination of new starters; liaising with colleagues in business support teams
  • Using the firm’s recruitment portal (AllHires) to advertise new roles and track applications; ensuring that information is maintained and kept up to date for management reporting purposes
  • Reporting on the effectiveness of recruitment agencies, time to hire and equal opportunities for candidates and new starters
  • Writing adverts and advertising on appropriate platforms. Putting forward suggestions of alternative job boards and publications where appropriate
  • Working on a variety of recruitment projects and initiatives across the firm, and assisting with open days, assessment days, work experience and early talent schemes
  • Responding to speculative emails and applications in a timely manner, creating talent pools of candidates for future roles
  • Assisting the Senior Recruitment Manager with project work around recruitment and selection and carrying out research for specific roles and salary bandings
  • Collating salary surveys from recruitment agencies throughout the year and assisting with collating all information for salary review meetings
  • Assisting the wider HR team with the new starter process- contracts, offer letters and induction programmes as and when needed
  • Liaising with relevant managers regarding temporary cover and organising as appropriate
  • Any other ad hoc duties from the HR team may be given.
