Business Development & Marketing

Purpose of job

You will work closely with your assigned practices, nominated partners, cross-firm groups and the wider BD & Marketing team to build strategy, execute plans and identify opportunities, providing a high quality, proactive full range of business development and marketing support across Recognition, Reputation, Relationships and Revenue.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a committed and proactive individual to support the assigned practices and cross-firm groups / projects on strategy, tactics and processes.

  • Organise costed plans for service offerings across practice
  • Overseeing and regularly reporting on budgets and spend
  • Report on activity and return on investment on initiatives and trends and identify opportunities and insights from practices, competitors and the market
  • Monitor opportunities for new work/to retain work via formal tender processes e.g. CCS
  • Attend fee earner and partner meetings on a regular basis
  • Plan and coordinate award entries, organising/drafting submissions as required
  • Plan and coordinate directory entries, organise referees and lead on drafting submissions
  • Organise, edit and update website pages, schedule cleanses, review analytics
  • Organise calendar and timely uploads of articles and blogs and coordinate distribution channels
  • Organise social media calendar and ensure timely uploads
  • Produce digital media, plan, organise production and assist with scripts
  • Liaise with Communications team to plan and measure PR/media activity
  • Plan and organise participation in memberships, maximising use of available channels
  • Ensure lists of targets for each service offering are up to date and produce/ organise client mailings as required
  • Schedule events, plan, produce invitations, organise logistics and organise any follow-up
  • Identify and coordinate external associations, networks, events, co-marketing
  • Organise, tenders, pitches and presentations, maintain ‘stock’ pitch/presentation and tailor as needed, working to strict deadlines
  • Offer ‘critical friend’ input on drafting, tone, content, style of tenders and pitches
  • Organise and maintain ‘stock’ brochure and service sheet material and tailor as needed
  • Manage key account tracking and outreach
  • Drive participation in client feedback programme and report on findings
  • Review quality of all outputs produced by team for assigned practices
  • Work with Head of Business Development to upskill junior team members and wider team as needed, providing ongoing coaching and support
